Husband and I are both Army contractors (even work for the same company, but on different projects).

Private. Retired former school administrator and teacher. For the last few years have had a small construction business that was just bought out by a larger one.
So am in-between and looking as I'm too young to actually just retire. (Too broke and would go stir crazy.)

Anyone know of anything in Huntsville that can be done by someone who has a non-tech degree but CAN walk and chew gum at the same time?
Besides drive a shuttle bus...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm an aerospace engineer (aircraft performance at the moment) and husband has a master's in computer science.

Program management type (contracts, cost, schedule, earned value) with experience working on NASA and Defense projects. Some of my favorite projects were NASA shuttle mission planning, NMD, and Navy shipbuilding. Worked at 'the evil empire' for many years.

Currently doing the same types of analyses for retail historical simulation products. Lots of fun, little money.

I know we talked about it last year, but let's do it this time! Tammie and I can be the social committee
I'm game!

I just haven't been keeping up with my CD reading

However, just to make it interesting, we should declare the party at someone's house that is the least likely to show up-this way they can't back out Heck, maybe we won't even tell them, just show up on their doorstep

On a serious note, I would be all up for it EG-call me, we will plan.

3 months as a Federal Contractor and looking like I'll have an option to insource soon.

Oh, came from 8 years of Private sector Aerospoace & Defense (Shuttle, Station, GMD, Ares), and now working for the Army on unmanned vehicles, and I'm loving it.

I was always told it's never safe to be a private sector contractor, instead, a goverment contractor, but hell who knows these days.

I know. I got a nice increase when I went from private to govy - then I took a voluntary separation incentive (VSIP) because they were getting rid of federal workers. Went back to private and stayed. So, my government experience was the opposite of traditional - paid more, less stable.
