Question - Do the 2 students actually reside in the Whitesburg school district and how? If not, where do these 2 students reside?

Why is this being asked? Was there something written to suggest these two kids didn't reside inside the Whitesburg zone? Normally if a kid can only attend a school that he is zoned to. There are exceptions like the "not increasing the majority race in one school" thing.

What does "...and how?" mean in the first question?

The question comes from the student at the Discover Middle School did not reside in the zone for the school. So the same question should be asked for the Whitesburg students, do the 2 students live in the Whitesburg zone? The how ..did the 'family' purchase or rent a residence or is this a HUD/Section 8 residence. Further if the students did not live in the Whitesburg zone, why were they attending the school either due to busing or placed at that school for some other reason.

Since the Madison Discovery School revealed the shooter did not live in that school zone, I belive asking if the 2 students live in the Whitesburg zone should also be revealed and let parents be aware.

Mac-

the residence questions shouldn't even be asked. What's the point?

1. They do live in WMS - so?
2. They don't - Let 200 other parents know that 50 kids are bused in from outside the school zone? So? What will they do about it? Only the "bused" kids are criminal material ?! Same for the housing kids. Do we let the other parents know that 75 students live in the projects (or are on the meal program)? What does that prove?

From what I've heard from someone close to the situation, the kids arrested were 'bused' kids for what it's worth. Maybe that's relevant somehow. But before we jump to some conclusions, let's not forget there are plenty of gun crimes in good schools committed by properly zoned kids of middle and upper class families. Columbine ring a bell? And there's many more. I wonder if Amy Bishop was bused to UAH?
