I'm happy any year the hurricanes pass us by. I've lived through too many of them to feel 'giddy' when one is on it's way.

By the way, Richard just formed and is expected to become a hurricane in the next few days although its track is up for grabs right now.

As far as delivering much needed rainfall in FL this hurricane season has been a dud. The season ends tomorrow and nothing is in the making. So long HS 2010.

Yea!!! No hurricanes this year, or last year! Now, for the next three years...just stay away from Florida.

I love the old timers hurricane "plans", "Well, I am gonna buy some Spam, some water, and hunker down at home".

I was just in Florida October 2010 and it didn't look terribly dry.
I saw nearly the entire Atlantic coast of FL too.

*Meanwhile Toronto had another terrible summer;
above avg rain spread over hundreds of hours each summer, 3 summers in a row.

Looks like Christs casino gamble might just pay off for Florida after all.
