At 5 p.m. EDT (2100z), the center of Tropical Depression Ingrid was located near latitude 16.5 north, longitude 55.0 west or about 425 miles (685 km) east of the Lesser Antilles.

The depression is moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/hr). A gradual turn to the northwest with a decrease in forward speed is expected during the next 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/hr) with higher gusts. The depression is expected to weaken during the next 24 hours.

Estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb/29.71 inches.
