Last week I told someone I don't see any hurricanes to track for 2 weeks. Now 1 week in. I should of said 2 months with the way things are going. What a quiet year.
This is one of the slowest seasons I can ever remember. This time of year should be active. Perhaps since summer got going late, there may be some activity toward the end of the season.
A nonexistent tornado season this spring except a couple of isolated incidents, and extremely low tropical activity worldwide. Is there some kind of undiscovered force at work this year that is suppressing storm activity?
Fish storms are still storms. If you have, say, 15 hurricanes it is a very active season, even if none of them hit the U.S. Besides, Tropical Storm Ingrid's rain could have quite an impact on South Texas,.
Aside from rain over Florida today, still nothing going on. These next few weeks should be the busiest. Maybe this is just going to be a quiet year (enter big storm forming here..).
