Tropical Storm Ana in the Central Pacific now has winds of 65 mph and pressure of 996 mb. Ana will threaten the Hawaiian islands in a few days. The JTWC's track takes it on a route that skirts the edges of the Big Island, Oahu, and Kauai as a marginal hurricane.

This comes after the landfall of Tropical Storm Iselle earlier in the season--the stronger storm in recorded history to make landfall on a Hawaiian island other than Kauai. Two landfalling tropical storms in one season would be unprecedented.
