On Friday morning July 8, 2016 Tropical Depression 4E strengthened into Tropical Storm Celia.

Celia is one of several tropical systems forming in rapid succession in the Eastern Pacific as models predicted.

As of 2PM PDT Thursday July 14, 2016:
Weakening, moving away from land, not expected to restrengthen.
Winds 50mph, moving WNW at 14mph, pressure 1000mb (29.53inches).
Located about 1,110 miles E of Hilo Hawaii.

Fri 9a(MDT) July 08, 2016: Winds 45mph, moving W-----9mph, pressure 1003mb (29.62in). Named TS Celia.
Fri 3p(MDT) July 08, 2016: Winds 45mph, moving WNW-6mph, pressure 1003mb (29.62in).
Fri 9p(MDT) July 08, 2016: Winds 45mph, moving NW---9mph, pressure 1003mb (29.62in). Colder waters stirred up by Blas not letting Celia strengthen (when a tropical system moves along it feeds off the warm waters, but rough surf disturbs the waters and upwells cooler waters found just below the warmer surface waters. Cooler waters = weaker storm).

On Friday July 15, 2016 5pm HST Celia became a remnant low and no more advisories issued.
