Max Mayfield, the former director of the National Hurricane Center (from 2000 to 2007) and hurricane specialist will be on The Weather Channel 'WxGeeks' show today at 12noon EST (don't know if runs other times elsewhere in US).

If there was a hurricane during those 7 years then you likely saw a news outlet interviewing him with a tv beside him so he could easily explain and show you what was going on with a storm system. Great to listen to, easy to understand, I'll never forget the sound of his voice. He was there at the NHC for Katrina, warning people of the nightmare scenario to unfold.
