Yea but in the end it ended up being a catalyst for good. Tougher building standards were put into practice and actually enforced and widespread corruption in between construction and government regulators was exposed. Not to mention it spared the Greater Miami area and allowed it to build back more resilient. It Also ended up being a catalyst for change in Southern Miami-Dade County bringing the Homestead speedway in along with Clearing the way for more modern development. In the End, while Andrew was a painfull lesson; I'm glad he struck. Miami-Dade County and Florida as a whole are better off for it.
