I mean last year and the year before was so peaceful and quite...I think the cycle of hurricanes wont hit Florida for years to come. What do you think?
Anything can happen, lets hope that they stay east of the peninsula and is another safe year for all...

I will have a prediction (right or wrong) by the summer. So far I just do not see a hurricane of any size hitting the state. The jet stream and wind patterns are not favorable. Things could change all of the sudden, but as of now I am not worried.
Tallrick - Maybe you know. We have had a warmer than usual IMO winter. Did we have a warmer winter in 2005? I can't really remember.
In 2005 we had a warmer than normal winter, but there was a week of colder than normal temps. In 2004 I remember January being the hottest I had seen till that point. The difference this year has been the rain. In all my life I have never seen so many green lawns in March. If we had no rain and this warmth I would be worried about hurricanes, but this year is like no other. 2003 was cooler in Jan-March, but we had a HUGE thunderstorm in March, the same day I had recieved a traffic ticket for not stopping for a damaged stop sign 3/16/03. I remember that the thunderstorm was so powerful it finished off the stop sign and was my key to getting out from under that ticket. The biggest indication of hurricane damger is a hot, dry May. Every time it happens, (1992, 2004, 2005) we get hit hard.

We sure had a hot, dry May here in here in Broward county. The rainy season didn't kick in until 2nd week of June. Jan/Feb was also very warm. My electric bill shows it as I had the A/C running alot.
Is this the indication of whats to come. No one knows for sure. It's wait and see and be prepared.
