8Aug18 8pPDT/11pEDT - Winds 45mph(75km/h), moving NW 7mph(11km/h), pressure 1002mb. Shear keeping storm from strengthening, but strengthening possible next 2 days, then colder waters steadily weaken it, and much cooler waters could eventually dissipate into next week...

...But Hurricane John's influence expected to pull storm up North and some models bring the two storms together where usually only one wins out, or they dance around each other ('Fujiwhara' effect), or they cause both to fall apart. Not the best meeting spot with cold waters all around though. We shall see what happens between the two! (If you remember John already absorbed Ileana earlier in the week).

10Aug18 2pPDT/5pEDT - Winds 70mph(110km/h), moving N 8mph(13km/h), pressure 991mb. Weakening trend expected to start shortly with cold water temps ahead. Storm looks to not meet up with John now, and expected to turn back towards the West.
