Heavier storms are projected to increase in frequency faster than less intense storms, and the Great Lakes region is predicted to experience larger increases in total precipitation than most other parts of North America."

Notice the frequency between the storms. It starts off at the severest storms occurring more than 20 years apart. Then, for a long stretch, it's about one bad storm every ten years. After 1993 they're more frequent.



That's what I found looking on google for about 5 seconds. If you want more research than that, do it yourself.
