Has anyone experimented with securing a loop anchor into the concrete wall of the house in the lanai and then running rope through all the furniture and attaching it to the loop?
I figured by doing so, all I would have to move into the garage would be the cushions.

I don't have any experience with that. You may have to ask in the general weather thread or one of the Florida threads as now that we've entered "off-season" the hurricane forum doesn't get much in the way of traffic to read/answer.
