24Nov Other then maybe something small briefly trying to form well offshore in East Pacific, hurricane season is pretty much done. Nothing on the models. No hurricane has hit the continental US after 21Nov, and none in Hawaii after 24Nov.

Tue, 17Dec: There are some hints that a low pressure system will try to form in the Gulf of Mexico this weekend, and some indication it may try to obtain some type of disorganized lop-sided Sub-Tropical system status. Potential rain maker but will watch models to see if they bring up the winds/seas to anything concerning or not. Too far out in time to say much past that, NHC isn't mentioning anything on it at this time. At the worst, we're talking maybe Tropical Storm winds, you're not going to get a hurricane this region this time of year. Saying all this assumes it even forms. Only two systems have passed through the Eastern Gulf of Mexico in December on record, Olga 2007 and unnamed storm in 1925.

Weekend Gulf system appears to not gain Sub-Tropical characteristics now, tossing it over to the Weather forum.

A way to visualize NHC's track errors (colors represent km difference of forecast and reality) during the 2019 hurricane season in images below:

Each image represents either of 24, 48, 72 and 96 hour forecast versus reality of those predictions at each at those times.
