Hopefully the boat makes it, not sure how my CT policy would work down here.
Hopefully its a Cat 2 or less at landfall AND does not move slow. Different ballgame there vs CT. Sandy and Irene are nothing vs a Cat 3. Stay safe.

Heres a longer loop. Whipping

Crazy - you and I have been trading blizzard pictures (I'm the one who had the boat in Norwalk for the past 5 or so years)... here I go moving to the keys and within the first 3 weeks we're talking Hurricane!

Meh, people were getting crazy here in Ocala as early as the lunchtime storm update today. I just shake my head. Already fist-fights over cases of bottled water and legions of cretins pumping copious amounts of gasoline into empty milk cartons as well as 5-gal commercial water jugs, paint buckets, and pails formerly filled with degreaser in their tow-trailers and pickup truck beds. I update my nonperishable foods, first-aid, fuel, and ammunition inventory as necessary throughout the year so it never bothers me much. As I always say about people: never surprised, frequently disappointed.

I am not going to get much of any wind out this system as the slow forward speed will drag it way down by the time it gets to my coast if ever does. Hope to get 8" or more of rain. If it keeps slowing down in forward speed the high can have a chance to move away and turn it more to the north.

All a waste of time. I never do anything. Never have in 56 years.

Population maps. Same storm intensities, more damage due to population increases.

This thing is gonna drag out for days as it slows down. I don't expect much rain at all if it turns east of me and goes north. I am hoping it goes north of me and comes out in the gulf and stalls and gives me heavy rain.

And they're off. Should be for the 11am data. Maybe 8am?
