I'm really curious how quickly buoys will pick up wind speed and when they will cease because of waves.

Doubt it. The water is shallow there, less energy to get from the water. Eyewall has already warmed a little bit.

If there were Oak and Maple trees they would be flattened. Amazing how those Palms can take it! Lets just hope their structures are built for it.

FYI - At 0:51-53 into the video you'll see what a "gust" is like.. massive push of air, its insane. But doesn't last long and happens in intervals

It's a loop that starts stops with the refocus. That same palm leaf flops right into the frame after the refocus, that same 1 piece of white plywood looking thing goes by at the bottom.

I was watching, thinking if that is 168mph there should be a RIDICULOUS amount of debris flying around. And there's nothing. No debris.

So I watched closer. And it's a loop of footage. Not live.

Watch for yourself. Watch for 5 minutes so you notice the pattern of the video loop.

Gotta face facts. The planet is heating at a rapid rate and we will see fewer canes, but stronger 1's over the next 30 years.

I was taught that hurricanes are supposed to lose strength when they encounter land. But that doesn't seem to happen anymore.
Not much land mass in them tiny islands. If it was over FL a good 30 miles it would weaken fast. The storm can't hold this much power forever.
