Yes, I’d be surprised if that toll doesn’t rise substantially eventually, if not then I’d like to know more about shelters used and how many evacuated before hand, etc. Looks like lot of cement buildings though at least. We like our wood stick built houses in the US.
Not in FL. The only people who buy the few wood houses are Northerners. Everybody else knows better, lol. If you see a really nice house for cheap, almost guaranteed it's wood. Buy CBS only. There's even a few concrete dome homes here and there.

why is there a second set of wind data that looks like a 2nd hurricane? I noticed this the other day and don't know if this was asked/answered yet.

Greetings from Wake County, NC, thanks as always to Cambium and Psychoma.

Wet and somewhat quiet here although it's been EXTREMELY humid today. Breezy at times but nothing crazy so far. Out of school today (for no reason) and tomorrow. Will keep you posted although I am well away from the coast in the Raleigh area.

That's Gabrielle's eventual track ( https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/gra...nd120#contents ). I hate how they can overlap like that sometimes. Can create confusion.
