While it's rare, we cant expect a rarity to have multiple scenarios.. meaning 1 scenario will most likely not have happened such as "in the gulf" but 1933 was close and 2 canes were happening.

Fri 21Aug 5pEDT/4pCDT TD14:
Winds 35mph(55km/h), moving NW 13mph(20km/h), pressure 1008mb.
Storm finally building convection near its center again late this afternoon. Air recon en route. Per NHC "It is a bit of a mystery why the depression has struggled to develop much central convection". We'll see if storms hold this evening. High wind shear awaits it in the NW Gulf of Mexico though. And guidance has shifted further West.

All watch/warnings for Honduras dropped. Hurricane Watch NE Yucatan and TS Warning same area plus along N coast.

Fri 21Aug 8pEDT/7pCDT TD14:
Very tiny central area, burst of storms over center continues. Air recon finding lite winds mostly, but now sampling NE corner finding near Tropical Storm winds. High wind shear on NW corner of Yucatan clearly evident on visible satellite imagery. A weaker storm may not survive this too well, a stronger storm can hold together better and continue into the NW Gulf.

Levi of Tropical Tidbits did another great video explaining all at play and the potential future of TD14 here: https://youtu.be/D2Z1dVxylJo (start to 7.45min in)

I hate LA as they get all the action at 100 times what my part of FL gets. I would give a million smackers if they both would turn NE and hit my area. My area has never had a hit since 1921.
