There's been lots of named storms but few hurricanes or major hurricanes. Quantity over quality so far this year.

Tue 15Sept evening:
Atlantic:
-Invest "99L"....Northwest of Portugal / Spain...20% chance acquires Tropical Characteristics as heads towards those countries.
-Invest "98L" off Africa 70% chance following Teddy.
-Area in SW Gulf...20% chance...was heading for Mexico, now meandering...some models do nothing with it, others start to develop it and slowly move towards Texas/Mexico region

Wed 16Sept evening:
-99L into Portugal / Spain in 2-3 days, 10% chance acquires Trop. characteristics before then.
-98L following Teddy 60% chance formation. Likely pulled north out to sea & fall apart.
-90L the SW Gulf now jumped up to 70% chance. Models are diverging with some still meandering blob into Mexico/S Texas to now some take it NNE/NE into central Gulf coast as possible Tropical Storm.
-Another wave to emerge off Africa near Cape Verde Islands, likely brief lived if does form.

This post has satellite view of 99L near Portugal as well as the tiny “Medicane” in the Mediterranean Sea (like a tiny Hurricane, occurs maybe every 1 to 1.5years there)
