Fri 18Sept 11aEDT/AST Tropical Storm Wilfred forms (formally 98L) in far eastern Atlantic. Earliest "W" storm on known record.
Winds 40mph(65km/h)
Moving WNW 17mph(28km/h)
Pressure 1008mb
Center about 630miles(1,015km) WSW of Cape Verde Islands

Has a day or so to strengthen before hits wind shear and likely falls apart in the central Atlantic.

More like an elongated tropical wave then a named storm at this point. Not long until it's declared gone.
