On Thursday 21-Oct TD 19e was named Tropical Storm Roslyn just South of Mexico. As of Friday 8pEDT, winds 70mph(110km/h), moving WNW 7mph(11km/h), pressure 992mb. Nearly a hurricane about 180miles(285km) SSW of Manzanillo, Mexico.

Hurricane Warning Playa Perula to San Blas & the islands just NW of Puerto Vallarta. NHC has the center coming in near or North of Puerto Vallarta as 105mph(169km/h) Cat2 hurricane early Sunday. Infrared satellite shows a very small tight core. Small storms can more quickly change strength (up or down)

Unfortunately Roslyn went from a Tropical Storm Friday evening to a Cat3 overnight as rapidly intensified. As of Sat 8aEDT, winds 120mph(195km/h), moving NW 7mph(11km/h), pressure 960mb.

Peaked Saturday at Cat4 130mph(215km/h).

As of 720aEDT Sunday 23-October, Roslyn makes landfall about 55miles(90km) NW of Tepic, Mexico, near Playa El Rodeo Beach. Estimated winds 120mph(195km/h), moving NNE 16mph(26km/h), pressure 960mb.
