OK. I'm reading all of the info on everything that you should have for hurrican prep and in case you need to evacuate. My question is.. just how much stuff are you taking with you. I have three children, with myself and husband. To take an evac bag, it would need to be HUGE! I know you need some essentials just in case, but how do you take everything that you need? Do you have like 4-5 bags to take after getting everything you need?

For the most part Hurricane Prep is for people who are staying in their homes not evacuating their homes. These things in the Prep list are for people to use at their homes in the days following a storm or during the hurricane. As it could be days or weeks before you get electricity or your phone back.

Foe evacuation we have one piece of luggage for us and one back pack for important paper. If you have children this can be a bit more complicated and more bags. Normally we pack for 2 to 3 days.
