Do I stay or go? When do I leave town and where do I go? Georgia? Do I cover the windows with wood? I live close to Gandy bridge.. and am new to Tampa. My roommate has lived here his whole life (25 years) and never evacuated. He laughs at the matter and says I'm acting silly. Am I worrying for no reason? Thanks!

With the latest track for Fay probably so. Listen to the news for evacuation. Had Charley hit Tampa as projected he would have wished he had evacuated more than likely.....Tampa emergency pros are the ones to listen to, not us on the forum.

This post is a little late in the game, but having got out of the hospital for major surgery just 8 days ago we left for our home in Tn on sun. Listen to the weather guys, but as we can now see they don't really know either, sooooo I go with my gut. I don't care if friends laugh and chide me as someday they will not be laughing. We have made many evacs for nothing and that is ok. Each time you do it you learn more of what to do when the big one comes and it will. Go with your gut you will never be wrong.
