Wow, interesting, thanks for posting. Deserted rainy freeways. It's a bit creepy to see. It's good to see the freeways are past the gridlock stage at this point.
I agree about the creepy factor. It reminds me of one of those post-apocalyptic movies. I think it was so smart of them to have all lanes head out of town. I think that is a good sign that NO is a lot more organized and prepared for this storm.
Wow it is kinda creepy to see empty highways in a big city like New Orleans. I-10 was a mess the past couple of days with everybody evacuating. I have some friends who live in New Orleans and they called me on there way to Dallas Saturday and said it was bumper to bumper traffic on I-10 and just a mess. It looks like it has already started raining there.
There are two cameras~Luling Bridge facing north and Luling Bridge facing south (I think)~for me it says the cameras are disabled. Is it like that for anyone else? Did they manually disable them or what would've happened?

I just checked and they worked for me. I imagine that the cameras will go down though as the hurricane hits and it gets really bad there.
I just checked the traffic cameras for New Orleans and some of them are still showing live pictures and other have stopped as there last picture was early this morning when it was still dark. Also, you can watch live broadcasts from New Orleans and other cities along the gulf coast on The Weather Channel.
I just went to that page and saw where the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport is going to stay open all through the hurricane. How can they do this? There is no way that it is safe to take off or land in this. And almost everybody in New Orleans and Baton Rouge has evacuated. New Orleans International Airport closed Sunday.
Also, I was looking at the traffic cameras in Baton Rouge and all the bridge cameras have been disabled, which is not a good sign.
