This is just crazy!!!!!!!!!! Fl might be looking at back to back to back hits... ugh... Cmon God give us a break here!!! I really don't want to go a month with out power again!! I HATE FL!

I boarded up for Gustav but it turned out to be for nothing. I think I will just leave it until I see what Ike will do, I'm not putting that stuff up twice.

oh i am so praying that we just get missed by all 3! Don't want to be with out power for a month like we were with frances and jean especially now with a toddler.. did i stress how much i can't wait to move away from hurricane magnet FL!

Hurricanes go with the territory here. I went 40+ years without anything major then had 3 in 6 weeks in '04. You learn to deal with them. Somewhere else it will be tornadoes or earthquakes or landslides or floods or freeway pileups.... Pick you poison. Life is not a gurantee and all to often not fair but it's the way it is.

While there is time buy a generator,5500 and stock up on gas.I have 7-5 gal jugs ready,also used for mower.Then power outage isn't so bad.Not that expensive weighed against the misery of no power.

Buy of those cheap window unit a/c's at Wal-Mart too. At least you can cool down a bedroom for a couple of hours at night.
