Some day you will get there, Jammie. It is beautiful. I loved all the shops there! If you do ever get there, stay at the Flagship hotel. it's right out in the Gulf! Awesome watching the sea life (sharks) from your room. It'll bounce back, always does. BTW, go visit The Johnson Space Center if you go. THAT is the most awesome place I have ever visited.

You're right~it'll bounce back. If it could make a comeback after 1900, it can do it now. Actually, some of the areas didn't look that bad when they were showing them on tv. Of course, they had to sensationalize and show the devastated areas over and over again.

There is a couple from here who just had their vacation plans put on hold because of this. They were heading for Galveston. This is just so strange because they are both from here (population has now zoomed to 17,000 after decades of being just below 15,000), BUT they both absolutely love Houston. You'd think they'd feel like a fish out of water, but they love that city and have been talking about moving there.

Well, if the Johnson Space Center is anything like the Kennedy Space Center, it's GOT to be awesome!! I couldn't even understand what they were talking about half the time so it's incomprehensible how some people are intelligent enough to actually invent the things they did.
