It seems almost surreal, but there will be a new Swede in town this Friday!

9 months ago I applied for the job and now I'm finally moving to Idaho Falls. Where did all those months go? Even though it's sad to leave all my family and friends in Sweden, I'm really looking forward to the big adventure I have in front of me.

I want to thank all of you at this forum that have answered whatever questions I have had so far. Your input has been invaluable to me.

Thank you!

/joox

The trip was long but went surprisingly smooth. Idaho Falls gave me a warm welcome - almost a bit too warm after 20 hours of travel.

I'm trying to fight the jetlag and settle in at the same time. I know from experience that my memory of these first days will be really blurry, but I'm trying to make the best of them anyway. So far my two days in Idaho Falls have been filled with shopping for necessities such as groceries and GPS, and work. I spent 3 hours today on a meeting with two of my soon-to-be colleagues discussing a project they and I were involved in last fall (and that I apparently will be involved in again). It nice that they value my input, but I'm not sure if my mind is coherent enough to actually produce any relevant input.

I did go to the Ammon Farmer's market at the mall this morning. I really enjoyed it and I'm planning to go to the one down town next Saturday.

Welcome then Joox. So glad your trip was a safe one. Take your time and settle in. I am the worrier of the board. I have a need to know every one is safe after long trips and moves and such.

OH Boy Cleosmom. then grab that darling table that was on the porch in the pictures. Hehehehe The Ikea one. Joking. It probably did not make the trip.

Have a great lunch.

Chris, if it's the wooden IKEA table you're referring to - it didn't make the trip. I sold it to the new owners of the apartment. My small glass table (also IKEA of course) will arrive with the rest of my furniture in the end of September.

Cleosmom - I had a great lunch, thank you!
