We're moving to Idaho Falls soon and are looking for an affordable apartment complex that's family-friendly (preferably with a playground and green space on the premises). Anyone know of a place like that with 3-bedroom apartments that run under $700? Shelley seems to be a little more affordable--would you recommend Shelley?

Shelley lies about eight miles outside of Idaho Falls (city center to city center) and is a much smaller community - they have one grocery store and a couple of other stores here and there, so you will likely need to travel to IF for several things. Being that much smaller, it will also have a smaller selection of rental properties to chose from, as it seems to be a well-established community so not a lot of new construction (for rentals, at least) is being done at the moment. That said, it seems like a quite nice little burgh, so if you do find something and don't mind the commute when you need to do it, you should enjoy it.

Thanks. Shelley sounds like a good place. If I can find a good place there, that will probably be our first choice.

Any recommendations on specific complexes in IF/Ammon/Shelley that have playgrounds, green space, and are affordable?

Hi..we just moved here and until our house sells we are renting. Eagle Landing is great so far!! Very nice and although we are used to a little bigger place (we have two teenagers) we are very comfortable here. I love being so close to EVERYTHING! Good luck!

Love Shelley and many homes for rent, you could probably buy for the same price as renting.

Thanks for the comments. Eagle Landing was a bit too pricey for us right now. We ended up renting an apartment in Shelley. Unfortunately, buying is out of the question right now. Seems like a nice place.
