It looks like snake river landing is beginning another project. Don't know if it is only residential or if there is another office building. Also a boat dealer is being built off Sunnyside west of the interstate.

Are there fish in the Snake river so one can fish from the shore or a boat to catch fish.

Yes, there is a wide variety of fish (salmon, steelhead, trouts, bass, perch, other) and bank fishing can work in right spots and with right techniques. Read the outdoor sections of local papers, or state fishing reports, or visit tackle shops and ask, or get a guide, or just watch where people go and maybe ask for advice if you can do it friendly.

Yes. I've seen many whoppers come out of the downtown area where the falls are. The west bank is where its best for fishing.

There's a boat landing upstream from the falls about 1/2 mile or so, but it can be dangerous to fish from the river too close to the falls.

sO then a boat is required? A boat is a must or can you fish from the shore?

Here in most cases we have to get on a party chartered boat to get the real big fish which costs alot of $$.
Shore fishing you usually go home empty handed but there is no rental involved or paying lots of $$$.

No, a boat is not required. I think what banjomike was trying to say there IS a boat dock, but fishing from the boat so close to the falls would be risky
