Hi,

I'm not sure what the 'rules' are, so, if I'm not supposed to ask about specific business referrals, please send me a private message:

Ok - my questions are:

* what are some nice, "high end" spas around Idaho Falls? I need a massage!

* again, where's a nice "high end" hair salon? Need to do something w/my wind swept hair - teehee..

Location is not important to me - I can drive anywhere in Idaho Falls, the traffic and driving here is heaven compared to where I'm from. Yes, even 17th street. It's not that bad, really!

Thank you again,

From, someone who needs her hair cut and a massage after this hectic move to IF

line_design,

Ah, one of the topics I had planned for tomorrow's top 10. I think I mentioned that earlier elsewhere. Now I have to think of something as nice and fun

Ok, since you brought it up today, how about helping me write about it on the top 10? It doesn't have to be tomorrow, you may want to sample a few of the local offerings then write something on your own. But, I certainly would enjoy reading your views on the top ten of what may be available at different spas and a day of pampering. At least I know you are reading what I write.

I'll send you a PM with some info. I, too, am not sure if businesses are to be promoted. Maybe we should ask one of the monitors to clarify that would help all of us not cross a boundary but expand our discussion. Or maybe cleosmom or others who have been here much longer could help clarify too.

This should be fun.

I like to get massages, and the best person I have found in the area is at the Alternative Health Clinic in IF. It's on 17th street. It's an older couple, the man does accupuncture and the wife does massage. She is the best around. It's not so much that "spa" feeling though. I do know there is a nice spa in Rexburg. I'm not sure of the name, and I've never been there. As far as hair goes, I still haven't found someone good here so I go to Salt Lake to get mine done.
And by the way, where did you move from?

Rigbymomof3

Had a little typo there and I first wrote, "Rigbymomof4." Hmmm, I always do get hunches about those kinds of things. But, you'll see I corrected my error, as I don't want you to have a cardiac arrest.

Have you ever treated yourself to the very elegant Day Spa in Idaho Falls? I won't name it here, but if you aren't aware of it, feel free to send me a PM and I'll be happy to share the info with you. It's the one that can be rented for a wedding reception etc.

Or, do you mostly do your shopping etc. in Rexburg? Being in Rigby you could drive either way, and I know you have mentioned Rexburg businesses many times. I'm just not sure how many stylists - I mean trained stylist, like the big city salons- you've tried in Idaho Falls, given your hair, let alone the spas.

However, it is always nice to have a reason to leave town, so maybe not looking too hard locally is a good thing for you.

Hmmm, never noticed that place, then again I stay off of 17th as much as humanly possible. I'm surprised to hear you go to Salt Lake to get your hair done, get this, I go to Rigby I couldn't afford SLC as I have to go in every third week for my haircut or I'd be mistaken for a mop

I actually thought about that, cleosmom, not that you might be mistaken for a mop, but that you go to Rigby for your hair care. I guess we all have found our lucky spots in different places. Lots of options and people who have trained in major cities and programs in Idaho Falls. Not sure about the Upper Valley as I don't know.

It sounds like you, cleosmom, and I both agreed upon the spa we'd recommend. IMO, there is just NO comparison. But, in fairness, I've never even driven by the one near Blvd on 1st Street, just the other 2 of which I'm aware.
