Idaho Falls population

When the Post Register ran that population listed, they were correct, given criteria for "current population, " for BMPO. However, each summer also comes out the "ESTIMATED" population. The later is what I pay attention to as the printed census info is already a year old. Consequently, I prefer the estimates of what the city looks like today than what it did in July 2006.

That is why I use the 58K number. It will be interesting around next May when BMPO and others start to use the 58K I'm use now. Who knows, maybe I'll be using 60K by May, or more. I've just seen the most recent growth trend and I won't release that info here. However, I think in a few years we'll look back on Idaho Falls growth and see the years where it grew at a predictable level; then we'll also clearly be able to see the years when the growth curve started to rise and left many wondering what happened.

One thing is for sure, property value will only increase in the Idaho Falls Metro Area.
