and this time it will be for good (or at least for the next few years)!

We finally found a place in Ammon, a relatively new building and neighborhood. Won't see it in person until we get there, but the property manager has been pretty helpful so far.

Just wanted to keep those of you wrapped up in this saga informed. Will write more before we leave in a 1 week!

If you need pix or any further info please let me know. Sounds like we'll be neighbors... well kind of anyway.

Thought of something...any highway construction we should know about? We'll be heading along I-80 from Laramie until we hit Rt. 30, then follow that to I-15 in McCammon.

From what I can gather on Wyoming's website is you have some near Rock Springs (west of Laramie and Rawlins) on the 80.

In Idaho on US 30 they are working on Fishcreek Summit, you'll have some delays there as well, in fact they use pilot cars. Was going to suggest you coming in via the Hoback, however both 191 and 26 in WY have roadwork as well At this point 15 coming into IF looks alright.

Breer - Congratulations!

So . . . How was the trip?

How are you and your family liking Ammon so far?

Yep, we finally made it! The trip was a little long, but only because we made it so. Stopped in Lincoln, NE, Fort Collins, CO, and Montpelier, ID along the way. Furniture took forever to get here (no driver available), but it is finally here!

Ammon is kinda quiet (which is nice!) even tho we are one block east of Hitt Rd./S. 25th East. It's a good starter place, but we may look to move closer to the campus once we have been here a year or so.

Breer, if you need any advice or information on anything.. let me know I'm willing to help where I can. Glad you're enjoying it so far.

Give it a few weeks and you're going to want to be cautious driving about when they begin to chip seal the roads, meaning loose gravel all over the place which is supposed to help the roads come winter.

If I remember right, you mentioned that you were in the animal care industry. We might have a need to have our little ones (two cats) looked at, medically speaking. If you have any suggestions, please send me a DM.

Probably not much chance that that process also causes other drivers (particularly those in the area of 17th & Hitt) to slow down and take some precautions of their own?

I think our first big treat will be venturing out this weekend. Between getting our furniture late, and my wife's job hunting, we haven't gotten outside of the area limits yet...we're thinking Mesa Falls. Anyone else with input - we'd like to keep it to a day trip.
