Once I was in a kind of a remote area in a Casino (I won't name it but it has an awesome entertainment and shopping). Saw Charlie Sheen, Sr. kind of hiding from the crowds too. He was perfectly content to let me sit where I was as it was clear I was just watching and didn't want anything from him.

Let us know all the COOL people you see, and your FRIENDS

Heck, one doesn't need to NV to run into famous folks. Running into Richard Petty was quite common if you hit the right place here in town Plus the Baldwin clan comes through here in spurts.

I am glad I re-read your post this morning to notice that it was Charlie Sheen SR., couldn't figure for the life of me just how Junior could hide in crowds as he's a tad more of an extrovert

As a not so expierenced gambler, but a lover of buffets, drinks and parting. I have spent many a nights in Vegas, reno, and casinos all over the world. I can say Ide rather sit at home with friends and play some pokers, black jack. A few weekends ago, on a whim, I ended up in fort hall with some friends at 3am. I anticipated a lot of slot machines, but there is something to be said about playing with and against a REAL DEALER. Fort hall seemed to be all automated, wich to me seemed alittle impersonal.
I haven't gone to any other casinos around here because I HATE loseing money, but I'm looking at getting to Windover the next time allegiant dose another weekend shuttle flight.

Allegiant rarely does weekend flight, usually the flight heads out on a Monday. That said if you check out the bulletin board at North Hiway café, they usually have a flyer in regards to a bus going down to Jackpot.

I am going to Lost Wages in June and will stay at the newer Aria. Anyone have any experience with this property? It is in "City Center", the last new major development in Vegas. BTW, airfare from SLC to Vegas is cheap right now, so is Allegiant, but as I and others have said, you have to operate on THEIR schedule. No, thanks.

I've never stayed there. Plan on staying at The Rio this visit, which is a good thing since I just found out the Billboard Music Awards will be happening at the MGM Grand the night we arrive It goes without saying we won't be going anywhere near there.

Yes, when I booked this I battled back and forth about flying out of SLC or Allegiant and well quite frankly I can use the extra day off of work than originally planned Plus I figure two of the days are travel, so only three being "entertained"

I am sure I will eyeball the Aria while there and see if I can get a vibe for you.

Ha ha! Just look for a 50-something with a white baseball cap, medium build, medium weight, but a cute face.. (Or so others have said). This is fun stuff, although pure fantasy...but adds to the excitment of a Vegas trip. Enjoy.

Good! Glad you are taking the extra time for yourself! Have fun seeing your FRIENDS and anything else is just a bonus.

Ok, I think I'm confused pw72. Is the above description a fantasy description and thus part of the Vegas excitement, or is the above you and part of our Eastern ID excitement?

A gambling trip with some from here could be entertaining and fun. While I don't gamble I've gone with others before and had lots of fun with friends. Vegas has turned into so many different things, depending on where one spends his/her time. It's kind of sad to me that the concerts can be so darned expensive when they weren't before. But I agree with Cleosmom, I stay clear of all taping of anything for tv.

So pw72, would that be a white Mariner's cap? I'm trying to think if I still have my Mariner's jacket. Baseball and Elliott Bay - sweet.

Or is it a new Wii game or gambling machine that requires a baseball cap? J/k.....

No, it is a pretty accurate description. I have Mariners cap, but it is blue.

If you just wanna twirl some slots or something basic without the huge glitz just head on down to Jackpot.
