Sandhill Media deserves a shout out for their greatly improved Community Events section. I looked at the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes and was impressed with the quality of the graphics etc. If you haven't looked for a while, you're in for a nice surprise.

Way to go Sandhill Media!

Question What's Up with Riverbend and Changing PDs?

I know K-Hawk (Country) at Riverbend hired a new PD in the spring/summer of 2013. That PD was recently replaced.

Now, as I was searching for something totally unrelated to radio, dated 9/15/2014, the page I found said Tim Lewis, PD of News had been hired for somewhere in IL. Sorry, I was looking for something very different in IL, so I don't remember the city. It's not Chicago or Champaign and I don't think it was Springfield.

I don't know for sure if this is true but it's a very reliable site. If this is true, does Tim Lewis direct efforts for East Idaho News plus a talk feature on KLCE? I don't listen to those stations so I'm out of my league here.

I've appreciated East Idaho News as it was one print source we could post here. They also got some news releases before anyone else. I'm confused. Does anyone know what person is responsible for East Idaho News. Does anyone here know more?

I offer my best wishes to Mr. Lewis in his career, wherever that is.

I hope someone here might add clarity to this reported change.

Thumbs down Static ...hhmmm

There was a time I'd hear static on a station or two and let someone know. I actually got thanked for it.

Turned on the radio tonight and changed the dial to that station. STATIC!

I decided the last time I'd reported over an hour of static on this station it wasn't even acknowledged with a "thank you" that was the last time I'd report the problems. Who knows, maybe a station high on the dial is off the air.

I could write all types of speculation about what the static means. I'll pass.
