Let's do an update. Cleosmom, are you eating out at all? If so, favorites?

Lots of patio dining this summer.

Please post your favorites for whatever you like and anything new.

I continue to hear great reviews about the Hibachi restaurant. I haven't been, but everyone I know has loved it.

And any thoughts on what restaurants you'd like to see in Jackson Hole Junction, possibly Taylor's Crossing by the River, SRL, Eage Ridge or elsewhere? I still think Westside and by INL/ University Blvd. is being overlooked.

I don't know the buy in for this one. Would anyone else like a McCormicks and Schmick's besides me? McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant - Fresh Seafood

If not McCormick and S, then I still wonder about Market Street Grill: https://marketstreetgrill.com/

I saw that Nampa has a Cracker Barrell now, not just Boise. Hopefully they got the issues resolved. I would like to see one in I.F. It might be perfect at the Intersection where so many semi trucks stop for gas, or more, especially when Rick Warner Truck land gets built.

What restaurants would you like to see?

I like the ones you mention. I want Carraba's and/or Macaroni grill, Red Lobster, Chipotle grill would make a very good lunch spot. It would be cool to see all them around the river but for now sunnyside & hitt is hot. Chipotle often locates in retail strips so I hope we see one sooner than later maybe at SCC.

I'm happy to see a Chipolte Mexican Grill coming to Southeast Idaho, even if it is going to be in Pocatello. Can Idaho Falls be far behind ?

They're in Boise, Twin and now Poky, I think we will get one soon. The location I could see at either Sand Creek Commons or perhaps near Wal Mart on Utah or near Chili's even.

Hi mtngirlatheart. It should still be nice traveling when you come down.

Do you want Chinese no matter what, or something different? Fugi is a cool place and good, but it is Sushi and Hibachi. Do you know where you'll be in town? Downtown, Eastside or westside? We can make some suggestions and let you look at them. Lots have liked Gator Jack's for slightly Casino and some others. I think the link to Fujitsu is a few pages back. But here it is again: Fuji Hibachi & Sushi - Hibachi Restaurant | Ammon, ID

Ming's Downtown is well liked for Chinese.

It will be a plus to have you posting here

Thanks, MSR! We are just beginning to map out our visit so I don't have any specifics of what part of town we're going to yet. Making a stop at a Walmart is most likely on the agenda though so would there be anything near either one of them? Definitely not opposed to sushi, either.

There's a huge Walmart in Idaho Falls near I-15 & Broadway and yet another one out in Ammon on Hit Road across from the vote school. If you want to avoid that rat race there are also 3 Albertsons, 1 Fred Meyers and Smith's... oh and another warehouse type store, Winco.
