Agreed. These Idahoans blaming Californians for moving in and destroying the Idaho experience must all be native Idahoans whose entire family tree originated in Idaho (or what later became Idaho) with none ever venturing into Idaho from any other states or even countries. The Idaho family lineage must have started before statehood, all the way back to the Mayflower! It’s the newcomers who wreck everything! The natives create the masterpiece but those dang outsiders come in and wreck it! Probably been said countless times by different groups since who knows when.

Not sure why people should keep their mouths shut about worsening of quality of life. Unless of course, congestion, pollution (of all kinds), high cost, restrictions, over-regulation are appealing qualities..

Mentality matters the most. It seems a lot of Californians have this urge to leave their native state, but most seem to not know the reasons why, only that "things seem bad" on their home front.

So what do they do? They move to Arizona and Idaho and Montana for a better quality of life.....and then seek to impose upon the natives of those states all the policies and mentalities that turned California from a reasonable place to live just a generation ago into a congested and wasteful place to live.

I think instead of moving to the Rocky Mountain states or the Cascades, liberal White Californians should try moving to Cuidad Juarez, San Salvador or Tegucigalpa since they seem to want those cities to move to our country so badly.

Exactly. And Idaho Falls is not the first, nor the last that leftist mindset that these people embody, policies they vote for, PC, thought police, overspending, the relentless attack on producers, and generational welfare will ruin.

On top of that, importation of uneducated, uncivilized, illiterate Democratic voting foreigners, rushing to harvest the fruits of labor of the American citizen-- all this will ruin Idaho, as it has others.

If idiotic California didn't teach them a lesson, then Idaho shouldn't have to pay for it.

Born and raised in Idaho. I dont feel intruded on by outsiders coming in. Yes, you're mentality matters greatly. You can be a miserable and resentful old hag or have an optimistic outlook. Im still trying to figure out why "they want Juarez to move to this country". I enjoy a bit of diversity. I like new blood other than the good ol' boys around the way. I like that our local economy is on an upward trend. There's more money to be made and spent. It brings in new shopping, dining, entertainment and educational opportunities. Our farms probably couldn't survive without foreigners labor. Our businesses couldn't grow if not for fresh talent. The ones actually moving here tend to be a lot better educated than the youngsters coming up in Idaho. I, along with too many Idaho kids, was never taught the value of an education. The lab is growing immensely. Cry all day that taxes are on the rise but quality of life is also on the rise.

For everyone who wants more from life than FOX news at the local diner, and likes to expand their world through multi-cultural experiences and to enjoy things like music, arts, dance, dining, etc. For everyone else, life beyond the trailer park rec. room is probably too much to handle.

Agree!

At some point you'd think people who live in a certain place should have the ability to decide what they want their homes to be like, now and moving forward. Growth is a good to an extent, but at some point that growth only ruins what the appeal of that area once was. No one likes more cars on the roads, more crime in the streets, more cost for housing, more pollution in the air, more crowding on the trails and camping sites, more regulations and laws on the books...
