The problem is with compounding. When exploring a move, most people usually look long-term - let's say 10 year outlook, maybe more for some people. A 5% growth rate -- a town of 50,000 people will be over 80,000 people in 10 years. Boise and CDA area have doubled their population in the last generation (25 years). Idaho Falls "only" increased by half (50%). And it ain't stopping. So if I was to project out another 10-15 years, Boise / panhandle will increase by another 50%, while IF by 25-35% by 2030.

Land is not increasing, so something's gotta give. Towns and cities will grab agro land for development, but not enough, and rents / home prices will increase.

I will be there just in time for the development in a few years. Might be able to get into a new home.

Worse thing to happen to America was and is the out migration of liberal elitist NYers and Californians to other parts of the USA. THEY ARE SOLELY THE CAUSE OF WHY THE MAJORITY OF AMERICA IS UNAFFORDABLE NOW... AND THE HOMELESS PROBLEM IS THROUGH THE ROOF EVERYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. This epidemic is spelling the end to Americas middle class as we know it. And there is no recovery. We are now doomed as a nation of unaffordability, exorbitant cost of living, and the severe epidemic of homelessness. Thank Californians and New Yorkers for this.

If it were just NYers and CA wouldn't be as bad. Anti-American "liberalism" has metastasized everywhere. These carriers infect healthy bodies, kill'em, and then move to new bodies. That's what's happening throughout the West. Now Texas is in play? Before long, Idaho will be too. We're just seeing the transformation in real-time.

Start upbuilding Arco and that area, get the least accommodating areas built up and solidly sold off. Maybe they can find the original town of Arco. If the research facility will allow it, that is.

Isn't that a bit too close to Atomic City?

The thing is tho that nobody wants to move to Arco. In today's world, amenities, services and culture are what people gravitate toward, not just an income. That is why small towns aren't doing well

Maybe u can stay in California and find an affordable place. You would be better off in CA. Idaho is better off without more Californians invading.
