Most hotel/motels in If allow pets but most charge a nominal fee, usually 10-20 dollars per night.

There is a Shilo Inn on the river, https://www.shiloinns.com/shilo-inns-idaho-falls. The location is great. I like Shilo Inns, but I haven't stayed at that particular one. The website says dog friendly, but nothing about cats. Sleep Inn https://www.choicehotels.com/idaho/i...49?mc=llgoxxpx is also a decent hotel chain, and pet friendly. This one is close to the museum.

We stayed at the Rodeway Inn on the river last summer, one night, with our two dogs, and I wish I could go back in time and undo that--what a nightmare. Noisy and dirty. Very unpleasant vibe. Avoid!

Last week we stayed at La Quinta Inn for one night before heading to the airport in Jackson. No charge for our two dogs (40 lbs each). With my senior discount it was under $100 a night. I highly recommend it.

This was my first time in Idaho Falls and I was very impressed with the downtown and especially the River Walk (Green Beltway Trail).
