Hoping to make something of the three hour drive, any suggestions for fun/interesting places to stop on way down from IF?

Thank you

Okay, so it's food, but I like going to Cracker Barrel there in Layton. Yummy food and a neat gift shop and old fashioned candy too!

Once you cross the state line and get closer to Ogden you will be so concentrated on protecting yourself from the insane Utah drivers and various other factors it is probably better to just stay on the Interstate and get your business done and breathe a sigh of relief when you cross the stateline heading north back into Idaho
A Word of Warning from an Idahoan to another Idahoan is watch the speed limit along I-15 from Ogden to Slc and grin as you study crazed, insane, completely oblivious Utah people breaking the laws of the land which they are supposed to adhere to and sinning as they risk others lives weaving and speeding in and out of all lanes of traffic.

Once back in God's Country of Idaho, and if time permits, take the Weston exit off I-15 just north of Malad and head East to Preston and then drive North on Highway 91 towards Downey and you will see Red Rock where Lake Bonneville broke through back in ancient time and eventually flooded along the Snake River through Southern Idaho.

Chesterfield, which is an old Mormon ghost town East of Inkom is interesting too.

Exclamation Read the Other Swine Flu (H1N1) Thread about Utah - here in the Idaho Forum

NCM,

PLEASE check a post I'm going to put in the Swine Flu blog - should have today's data and 2 links in. New data about UT.

I won't clutter this thread with it. But, since I know you actually understand about infection control/prevention, please read it before you plan many side trips.

When all church meetings are starting to get cancelled in some areas, I'd get to the airport and back HOME this time.

Not trying to be a downer here, just the share facts.

MSR

Lightbulb Post in Question just Disappeared. Give me a little time.

Yes, my A/H1N1 flu forum in the UT thread ended fairly soon, as you could probably tell. Not sure what others wrote as I referred people to THIS thread.

Something happened to the post I tried to add with the new data. Again, I don't want to clutter this thread up with that. Give me a little time and there should be another post on the Swine Flu in Idaho. One I think YOU will be interested in.

My apologies to those who have GREAT ideas of where to visit, during normal times, on this trip. Please continue posting of where to visit here. I'm sorry I had to interrupt, but I live by Maslow's law.

Maybe I can even give you some ideas later of what to visit and see. Some cool things, especially if you don't mind the side trips. I'd like to add to what TwinPrism wrote, but can't today.

I'm not sure what happened to that post, but I'll write a version of it again. It's the link that is most important.

Later-

MSR
