AMMON - A fire in Ammon destroyed a family's home and one local group is trying to help.

Sunday afternoon, flames consumed the Kumpf family's house roof. They were not home at the time, but a neighbor saw the smoke and called Police.

No injuries were reported.

Scenic Falls Federal Credit Union has an account for the Kumpf family where you can donate. Their children need clothing, they are ages 7, 10, and 14.

Does anyone know gender and approximate sizes of the children? I'll try to get some clothing together.

We were wondering the same thing, I'll try to call the bank today and find out. I imagine they need a lot more than just clothing right now, even just knowing people care can make a difference when something so traumatic happens.

The article didn't mention what their circumstances are. I wonder if they were the homeowners. Insured? Obviously if they were renters and didn't have insurance, this is going to be a lot worse for them.
