Now I have a very happy daughter. The school announced today that is is cancelled for tomorrow because of extreme cold and even more extreme wind chills.

Man, the hwy 95 was slick this morning. That's not common when the temp is this cold. Even in 4x4 the tires were spinning at every light. Still, sure is pretty out there.

It even made the news!

Wish I could send you some warm thoughts, but we're in for record low temps (for us ) down here--big storm coming in, and the snow level is expected to be at 1000 ft tonight!

They were wrong here too. It only hit -8...thank goodness. The extreme temps are hard on our outside animals.

We have about a foot of fresh powder on the ground now and it's still coming down hard. I bet the skiing on Schweitzer is awesome today...

I agree. Let it snow on the mountains and rain down here. Ready to start sacrificing meteorologists (most especially the cutsie, girly ones on KREM) to the snow gods. Let them giggle then.
