Hello I've been thinking about moving from the sh*thole I live in to somewhere safe..I've looked at SLC and its suburbs in Utah but its not really safe there so I looked at Boise and Idaho Falls in Idaho and noticed its good compared to other cities and the crime rate is pretty low so I looked up the best places to find a job online and I found both cities among the cities on the list. So my question is to people who live there is that true? Or is the unemployment rate is high there?

I know here in the Idaho Falls area, jobs are scarce right now. Not sure about Boise.

Default Jobs In Idaho

Go to the link below click search for job, when you come to the site it will ask you to login, instead go below and click browse jobs. This will take you to an area that you can add in any zip code in the state or city, to see what jobs are available. One zip for Boise 83701. There is a tab to select that gives miles on how far away from the zip you would like to look.

Jobs are hard to come by, but they are out there. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the reply. Just one last question.. From experience is Boise city safe or does it have the same crime rate as SLC & Denver? And what areas to stay away in case I ended up being in Boise?

I have always found Boise to be safe. I would think as any big city, the night life might be crazy. I live a couple of hours from Boise and travel to shop and do other business there. It's very clean, the people seem friendly. Lots to do and see near by. You are just a couple hours from the Oregon border, mountains with lots of outdoor activities to offer.

Not sure on the safe areas, where I have been I haven't noticed a lot of trashy areas. Maybe, someone on here more familiar with Boise will answer this for you, if not just look at the surrounding area it tells a lot.

This may be of help..................

Boise overall is very safe. There is no neighborhood that I'd be terribly afraid if I had to walk a couple blocks at night.
