My wife and I our heading to Sun Valley this weekend from Idaho Falls. We would love suggestions on things to do/see and places to eat. We will probably do some skiing, but are not familiar with the area. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks, Nate

Of course skiing, but there is also helicopter ski drops (expensive of course), golfing, tennis, taking in the sites. Shopping at the stores in nearby Ketchum, find a local diner to sit down and relax. There is a Ski Museum in Ketchum and a botanical garden nearby.

No visit to Sun Valley is complete without seeing the famous Sun Valley Lodge, and outdoor ice rink at least once. In Ketchum some of my favorites are: Grumphy's for great burgers and LARGE beers. (a hole in the wall for some people). The Pioneer for good steaks. (wait time can be LONG, its very popular). Whiskey Jacques for the bar seen-nightlife. (if your into that). Kneadery for breakfast. (you just might run into a celebrity here). Have Fun!!!

Sun Valley just received a ton of snow so the skiing and other snow sports will be excellent. The Sun Valley/Ketchum area has the best restaurants in the state as well as fab art galleries. It is considered one of the best apres-ski towns in the country so there is plenty to do when you're not on Mt. Baldy. Michel's Christiania in Ketchum is one of my favorites, excellent French food.

You can also ride the gondola to the top of Baldy, eat lunch or dinner at The Roundhouse, gorgeous views and food, and then ride the gondola back down to River Run.
