Hi its me again

I am trying to find a flood plain map for northern idaho. The government site has none listed. I wanted to find out if a certian area is prone to flooding. I am not sure what the area is called but its a long praire road and north of it.,....That valley in between Rathdrum and Hayden just north of airport and also west of airport.

Does anyone know where i can find one of these maps if they exsist?

In Nevada certian areas in our valley flood. So just curious. thanks

Did you try this site?
https://msc.fema.gov/webapp/wcs/stor...0001&langId=-1

I remember we were able to go on the FEMA website and check to see if our property was within the Clark Fork River flood plain (which it isn't). But you'll need to put in a street address.

Good luck! It sounds like you're getting serious! How exciting!

Thanks Clark Fork, that is a great site!

Yes, but we will be renting for a year so we can see which neighborhoods or areas we like. We plan to buy after that and were looking maybe at an acre. I like to plan ahead.

Haha--start thinking 5 acres! If you're going to be on the outskirts of a town, or outside city limits, that may even be the minimum. And it's like eating pistachios (NCIS)--once you've tried an acre, you've just got to have more!

To my knowledge of living here for my life, there is no flooding areas in CDA. The bays of the lake raise, the river is controlled by a dam, other than that, nothing.

Clark Fork....I would love 5 acres! Anything is better then having your neighbor staring at you through your kitchen window. LOL
Plus my husband loves dogs and wants like 6 huskies. A german shep for me

Ok maybe not that many but we'll see. LOL

Shaner, we almost moved to Nashville some years ago and right before we were to move, a huge flood happened. They call it the hundred year flood. All of downtown was flooded and places we were looking at buying flooded. I just like to make sure because you never know. But it sounds like CDA is the perfect spot to live. And less humidity then Nashville that is for sure.

Shaner, hang in there. I know for one that it only takes a second to injure yourself. After that things can get interesting!
