I am planning a visit this February to see if I feel a connection, and if so then more extensive trips and research to come. But the fact that you mentioned people from IL specifically as having adjustment problems makes me curious. Thanks!
He is probably referring to the Idaho "do it by yourself, by your bootstraps, attitude." I personally don't think Illinois folks have much culture shock. But, east coast folk ten to.

Ah, I see. Well if that is all then I'm not to worried there! Hahaha I am a single mom with my last one headed to college next fall and am not afraid of doing it myself. Friends call me stubborn, I like to say self sufficient!  Thanks Keim! I was just reading about Moscow today! What do you love most about living there?

In no more particular order.
1. I like the many cultural opportunities the two universities bring to what is otherwise a small town atmosphere.
2. I like how easy it is to get out into some very pretty country.
3. Moscow was rated by a national magazine (don't remember which) as the best town in Idaho to raise a family.
4. The people.

Let me know if you have more questions.

You might also contact the Chamber of Commerce. They used to send out relocation packets.
