Georgia is #3 in this list of the 10 most racist states in the USA. I almost bet the person over in that thread making the stupid comments is probably racist because that person attempted to label every Idahoan. The people who like to think they are "victims" are generally the most closed minded and uneducated.
This isn't really making much news in Boise because the local office will remain open and it isn't something devastating to the local economy. It isn't front page news anymore.
The company has 111 locations in 10 states, including five in Idaho: the headquarters at 720 Park Blvd.; a store with a truss and panel plant at 11670 W. Franklin Road in Boise; a lumber and building materials store in Twin Falls; a sales office in Pocatello; and a truss plant in Idaho Falls.
The relocation will be done on a phased basis with the executive team moving immediately, BMC said. The Boise office will remain open.
Lierz said the building and construction materials industries won’t change unless BMC closes its Idaho stores.
“To us, it’s kind of a nonevent,” Lierz said. “They used to be headquartered in San Francisco, and that didn’t seem to matter.”

I just moved to Idaho Falls last year from South West Georgia. Moultrie Georgia to be exact. I have lived in Georgia all my life (35) yrs. I love my home state and proud to be from there for more reasons than one, however you are probably correct about being ranked high on the racist list.
Let me say something that a lot of folks on the west coast don't understand unless you lived there, or don't know because its not politically correct to report it. I would be willing to bet that 80+ percent (probably higher) of the racism in the southern states Georgia, Alabama,Louisiana,Mississippi, Tennessee are black racism towards whites. If you don't believe me or want to argue that fact then you haven't spent enough time there! As for me and folks I grew up around, we were taught to judge someone based on the character not color or religion.
I could come up with several reasons i believe its like that, but I don't want to start a political debate.
Y'all have a nice day!
