Good morning, Misty. Just checking in with you to see if you have a new grandbaby yet and how George is doing? Hope all is well. And, I guess I missed it. . . . you are moving?

Hi, NI...no grandbaby yet. Induction is today. She started developing hypertension, not horrible but enough that they are erring on side of caution. Heading in there soon.
Georgie has been at the vet on a new antibiotic and still getting care for his wounds. With all thats going on, we are happy to have him there.
Yes, we have been going back and forth to Anacortes for the past almost 2 years to our boat there and just bought a house. We are keeping the property here and plan to visit it regularly and have someone caretaking it for us. Scary but exciting. We love this place so much but it has gotten a bit lonely with both kids grown and gone. Time for a new adventure...but hedging our bets. We can always make it our main residence again.

I hope all goes well for your family and that you are enjoying your new grandbaby soon! Poor George. Keeping that guy in my thoughts.

That's right - I recall the boat in Anacortes. I've been there. Lovely area. Looking forward to hearing about that new adventure.

For me the worst predator is coyotes, they got another one of my cats last night. From the looks of things she put up one heck of a fight, hope she clawed one of their eyes out

I'll be out there tonight waiting for them, they'll be back.

I absolutely hate coyotes..!!!!!

I'm sorry. Poor cat. One good thing about wolves...they keep the coyotes away and don't (in my experience) bother with things like cats. They have bigger prey to go after. I always prefer the sounds of wolves to the hopping of coyotes.

Little Parker is here! Such a cutie and I have to say, being a grandmother is pretty awesome already. Of course he is the handsomest baby I've seen.
George is staying at the vets till next week because we are here helping out for the first several days.

Thanks mistyriver.........

My neighbor said her cats got all excited about 5:30 am so that's most likely when they got her, 1/2 hr before I got up.

I hope when we get moved up there the wolves keep the coyotes far away from wherever I live.

I always try to get my cats in by 10 pm but with the warm evenings they don't always want to show up and come in the house.

I've set up my trail cam in the past and it seems the coyotes show up on my property anywhere between 3 and 6 am. I have a realistic looking robotic cat that I be putting out for bait and will wait for the monsters to show up tonight.

Hope your wounded kitty is doing better with his wounds.

-Don

Don, I am sorry to hear about your cat. I hope you don't have any more troubles with those dang coyotes.

Misty - congrats on Parker! Yeah, I can imagine that you're gonna be a pretty awesome Grandma! I bet George is getting lots of loving care at your vet's. =^..^=

Only good coon is a dead one. They also like to pull just the heads off your chickens. Never trust a animal with opposing thumbs!

Yes...we've lost several hens to coons. They've pulled the heads off and left the bodies. I'm really developing a hate on for coons.
