When I saw the news I believe six homes had burned. I haven't been near the internet so I couldn't look Have more been burned?

The BLM moved equipment in about two weeks ago to have more equipment pre-loaded for fires that To habit Peak mentioned. I don't know if any additional aircraft were brought to ID.

Sadly, the south part of ID has experienced these fires too often the last 10 years.

I hope everyone is safe. Are there any new residents here that wouldn't know where to go? Some have mentioned living in very remote areas.

We'll be happy in eastern ID to hear this fire is out. I think there could be many this summer. Fires are a good time to reflect on what really matters each day. Stay safe, NID posters.

Thanks MSR! I am a little surprised at the rate in which information and updates about this fire are coming out. It seems like it would get more/better coverage. I certainly hope it can be contained soon and that the weather gets better for the region. Conditions are extremely bad and things are volatile right now for sure.

I think news was slow at first because there was so much smoke they were having trouble figuring out what they were dealing with. Sounds like there wasn't too much growth yesterday, so hopefully they can get a handle on it quickly.

In wildfire terms. this is still a pretty small fire. But if it combines with another fire and goes over 10,000 acres, it will hit the national news.

Of course, it makes no difference to those who are threatened by a wildfire; any fire is terrible when your home is threatened or burned up.

I see they have reduced the size of the fire from 2000 to 1380 acres on the Inciweb site. The weather for the past 24 hours has cooperated and it appears they are getting a handle on this fire.

Yeah, which is GREAT! I think the Level 2 incident command got things organized and assessed better. Major appreciation for all of those fighting these fires though.

Well, this has been some experience! Most of you know that our family moved up to Idaho to discover we didn't have a place to stay. We eventually began renting in Bayview. A week and a half later we were evacuated due to the forest fire. Anyways, we're back in our rental and the fire is under control. I have to say I'm very proud of all the fire departments and law enforcement that dealt with this. They did a great job! There were fire departments even from Arizona that showed up. Even though this was a hard thing to go through it was also a wonderful thing to see everyone working together. There's another town meeting tonight. Hoping to hear more good news.
