Hello all. We are relocating to the Spirit Lake area and are wondering what most people are doing for internet and TV? Is there any way to get high speed internet for streaming Netflix? We are about 10 miles from town if that matters. Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are a few threads that deal with the general question about Internet options in north Idaho. Here is one, but if you search you will find others:

Internet Quality in North Idaho

It's hard to know what your options will be without knowing a specific location, in reality almost down to the address. If you know where you will be living I'd suggest you talk to some neighbors and see what they are doing for Internet and TV. If you have access to cable at your future home, that will be your best answer for Internet. Up to you to decide if you like the cable TV offering or one of the satellite TV providers (Dish or DirecTV) better.

Other possible options would include one of the microwave based Internet services (Intermax or Air Pipe), 4G Cellular Internet, possibly DSL but I'd guess you are too far out for that, or else satellite (DishNet, HughesNet, or Excede). You won't be happy with satellite if you want to do any video streaming. It's possible with the others, but you may not like the cost of the data you will use (depends how much streaming).

If a given level of Internet service is a "must have" then I'd suggest you make sure your realtor understands that and takes that into consideration when filtering for candidate homes.
