You feel better now, being in Idaho?

Dang, that sounds like Korea. LOL When I was stationed there, I wondered whey they bothered having traffic lights. Green meant go and so did yellow and red.

Up here it's not just the highways. There are crazies even on the dirt roads. My nephew got hit twice in the last 8 months or so on the dirt roads near his home. One was a guy going the wrong way on a roundabout and the other was his neighbor speeding on the wrong side of the road chasing after someone around a blind curve. I've also had to avoid getting hit by trucks going clockwise around roundabouts and people not paying attention driving on the wrong side on the dirt roads.

Spirit Lake had a moratorium on new building due to sewer limitations but they just ended that and are allowing 200 new homes I think. I was hoping the moratorium wouldn't end.

Apparently Covid-19 isn't going to cut the traffic problem down.

Not down here, in SoCal. Perpetual summer. Perpetual bad manners. And we can't even travel safely to saner places--yet.

Idaho drivers WERE courteous. We were blown away by how polite the drivers were when we moved here in 2007. Things have drastically changed. Sorry to say it, but Cali. drivers are notoriously terrible drivers, I have no qualms over saying that because I lived there for 19 years of my life. The thing is, when me and my family moved here we adapted our driving habits to the "Idahoan way". Sadly, a lot of new residents aren't following suit. There are a lot more rude drivers out there when compared to ten years ago.
This is hugely disappointing. Texas roadways might as well be cali roadways because everyone here now drives just like they do in LA/etc. it’s appalling. I WAS hoping one of the benefits for my family relocating to NID would be to get back to sanity on the roadways. Literally today I was almost hit SEVEN times. I’ve been rear ended four times in 4 years. Perhaps the fact that we will be moving out of town quite a ways when we get to ID will alleviate a bit of this.

Still, we cannot WAIT to get out of this fast turning hell hole called Texas. It is no longer a good place to live.

It's a big problem we face as everyone is in a hurry. Constantly going forward at a hurried pace. RUSH! RUSH! RUSH!
At one point alot of people from CA and CA businesses were all moving to Texas as Texas had open arms and welcomed the arrival of COMMIEFORNICATES.
What I am looking for is a place where the pace is slow and time goes by slow. I don't want to be near nimrods that are always in a hurry. Makes your life shorter.
